Transmission fluid replacement/dipstick
I have my XJR in the shop to replace a part due to a small leak, as a result there is a need to replace the transmission fluid, which requires a dipstick. First, anyone know where I can buy a dipstick? Second, can the dipstick be left in the vehicle or will I need to plug the tube back up with a new plug. Part # I need is 307-379 for a W5A580 transmission (2000 Jaguar XJR). Thanks in advance.

Call your local Mercedes Benz dealers and ask them for:
140589152100 measuring tool (dipstick)
1409910055 lock pin
You remove the lockpin, pull off the dipstick tube cover, jam the stick in, and refit the cover with a new locking pin when completed.
I can ship Monday if you can't find it locally.
