After a nice long trip on a hot day, my transmission acts up. It’s fine on the freeway, but after coming off the freeway and doing more stop and start driving, it doesn’t want to shift normally. It stays in gear much too long. If I can get a little room to speed up, then let off, it will shift. But it doesn’t like to. It does not seem to be slipping, just not shifting right. And ONLY when it’s good and hot. I can back out of my driveway and drive around town, with no issues. But get it good and hot from a trip, and it doesn’t shift right.

I changed the fluid and filter. No signs of any issues, no filings in the fluid or the pan. Any ideas? Am I looking at a rebuild? Control module? Solenoids?
