Default Transmission - Is this normal?

My car shifts very smoothly (like buttah ) and I dont notice any issues under normal driving conditions. However, push it a little off the line and as it shifts through the gears there is a hesitation between gears as it "thinks" about shifting. I have never noticed this delay in an automatic before. In other cars, the nextgear is always right there - zip, zip, zip through the gears. Honestly, it's a little annoying - you get great take-off, then loose "oomph" as it decides to shift into the next gear, then, zoom again, loose oomph, (shift), zoom. WTF? It feels just like I am riding in astickshift car. Isthis phenomenonnormal in anXJR? (BTW, itdoes it whetherit's in sport or normal mode.)

Default RE: Transmission - Is this normal?

After I noticed my car was shifting strangely (hesitatingly)under harder accelleration, the "restricted performance" warning light started coming on intermittently at first, then more often. I finally took it to the dealer and they said the fuel psi wasbelow spec under hard accelleration. Theyperformed a throttle body cleaning (though I had already done that and it was whistle clean). Thentheyperformed a fuelservice which included a new fuel filter. Man, whatta difference! The car shifts beautiflully, even when I stand on the accellerator through all gears! It's like my car has been reborn!
