Thieves have tried to open my trunk and destroyed the lock cylinder; they were not successful to open it but I need to replace the cylinder. Does anyone have a spare with or without key that he can part with? (X308) erichkuenzle93@bluewin.ch
Sorry no one has responded sooner, but have you checked in The Member Marketplace? Top task bar, 5th from the left. Cars being parted out all the time...
Did they destroy the cylinder itself or the surrounding fascia? You'll want to try to keep the OEM cylinder if possible.
I must say, I've never seen a post from Zambia. With your location, I'd also check with the British recycle yards....readily available online. I would say use U.S. ones as well, but shipping can be very expensive from the U.S.

Thanks Highhorse for your reply, I found one in UK ebay for 35 pounds incl.key. i have a weekly courrier from UK to Zambia hence i will have it next week. didnt find the Member Marketplace yet but will do one day full of patience...Still have the issue of the "boot open " display on the dashboard , locking the gear leaver in P.i guess I will have to replace the wiring to the boot lid. its just mind boggling as it came up while driving long distance.
I don't see where you said anything about the "boot open" indicator. In any case, could just be the micro-switch....or they may have misaligned your boot lid in conjunction with micro-switch?
