2003 xj8 no turn signal sounds lights work fine

 

Your speaker in the steering column has either died or it's wiring has frayed.

You can take a 9 volt battery and make the speaker click to test . Just fwd of ignition key barrel inside column cover on X300 . Or on the connector of the body possessor module .

Pin FC15 -82 to 83 . Colored in Orange . Use the circled outside edge wire colors ( red and blue ) for orientation
