Unknown Dashboard Warning Light

I have a 1997 Vanden Plas. I have been getting an intermittent warning light; far left on the dashboard, right above the low washer fluid light. What is this light? I can't even tell what the light resembles! It almost looksl like a transmission profile with an "X" through it. Can anyone tell me what this light is? Top-most light in the warning light column.

Thank you for the response! I was afraid that's what it was. I'll have that checked this week. I DID notice that the shift from 1st to 2nd was feeling a bit rough and harsh. Hopefully, it's ONLY the fluids! Stay in touch. By the way: what year/type Jaguar do you own?
Hi Carbuyer, I would post this question along with the year and model of your car, in the section for your particular car. This is the 308 section, and I think your car is an X300 or maybe 305.
I've never seen that light before.

Carbuyer,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums!
As Rob has suggested, please tell us if your 1997 car is an XJ6, XJ8 or something else, so we can ensure that you receive the best answers.
A common cause of the transmission warning lamp is oil contamination of the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). This is often accompanied by the transmission being locked into 3rd gear or 5th gear, which is called Limp Home Mode (LHM). Have you noticed that your car does not accelerate as well when the transmission warning lamp is illuminated?
