Default Visual Hose Identification

Hi everyone,

can someone help identify the leaking hose in the picture attached? The green arrow is towards the front of the car.

The hose is beneath the throttle body pretty much in the center of the vehicle. The leakage is visible from above as below. There also seems to be no real leaking in terms of coolant loss or drops on the floor. It appears to be like this since a couple of years.

Thank you guys, as always, for your amazing help!

Kind regards from Austria,
Oliver

Far as I can tell from the Pic, that's a plastic junction where the left side valley hose connects to the octopus hose that runs behind the motor.

Not terribly difficult to change but you'll likely need to remove the throttle body for better access

The plastic part is called '3 way connector'.

Thank you QC!

Are we talking about this badboy here or am I mistaken?

Perfect, thank you. So this plastic part can just be interchanged or is it better to replace the whole hose assembly?

Cheers

Do the whole thing or you will be back in there again. I would also change the valley hoses, but being a R that's a lot of extra work.

Oliver, I would highly suggest replacing both of those parts. The one you pictured and the 3 way connector.

Got it, thank you!

So just the "heater hose assembly" MNC6733AE and the "three way conncetor" NNE3944BA and I am good for the issue at hand?

You're right, I will change the heater hose assembly (MNC6733AE).

Where are the valley hoses and how many of them are there? Do you refer to those beneath the supercharger?

Yes, below SC. Two hoses that connect to that heater hose.

Yes.

Is it a good idea to change the valley hoses? I’d say so. These cars are old and if you’re going to daily drive or just make it as reliable as possible I’d highly recommend it as RJ suggested it initially. The question is do you know how to pull the SC off?

You are correct. As my mine has been driven daily for the past three years and no change of that is planned, I will change them too. Am I correct that the part numbers are AJ87634 for the heather hose and NNE3946CA for the return hose? Furthermore, I have found silicone versions from Swallows Racing UK for these hoses. So I will install those.

Regarding the SC removal: No, I haven't looked into it thus far besides one or two YT videos. Are there any highly important steps to know beforehand or is a staight forward process for the mechanically inclined person?

Cheers, Oliver
