Default Wet footwell

I have a 2000 XJR and just noticed that the rear passenger footwell is soaking wet. Moisture had not traveled towards the seat in front of it. Looked underneath the car and did not see any holes. Is there a drain tube that could be plugged and causing moisture to accumulate inside the car?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, the condensate drain tube is on the passenger side, under the dash. I can't find a diagram, but it's there!

This might help. http://www.jagbits.com/17clearing.html

Thanks Mike!

My moisture is not in the front but in the back footwell only, passenger side.

Here's a discussion about water in the rear footwell of an XK, could be applicable.

Another thought....could it be the sunroof leaking down (inside) the b-pillar to the rear floor?

Is there a drain that runs down from the sunroof? If so, that would make sense! I'll rummage around with that thought tomorrow. Thanks Mike!

Problem solved!

I had 4 containers of water in the footwell yesterday and it turns out one of them was leaking pretty good. Now just have to get it dried out.

That's funny! Maybe not actually funny, but ... well, it IS funny!

Glad you figured it out! Much easier to dry it out than to run down a leak!

Yeah, after the fact I could laugh about it, but last night? Not so much...
