what is beeping?
Driving around today, the car is beeping at me. No idea why. Short beep, infrequent, loud enough to be heard over radio. No lights, messages, or anything. Everything working just as advertised. Any ideas?
no - not like the parking system, though I had not thought of that. Short beep, not the high pitched beep of the parking assist, but closer to when you press a button on the A/C., however louder than that. The interval does not appear to be standard, just random, but no sooner than a minute or so apart, sometimes 10 minutes. Single beep only.
Does the A/C have some kind of feedback that beeps at you if you do not have auto selected?

Press a climate button and see if it is the same beep. Look at the recirc button. See if it is beeping when recirc turns on or off. IE, if recirc is on, look at panel when beeps and see if recirc is now off. Then wait for next beep and see if back on. Also check the audio and see if TA is showing.
TA!! OK - I remember reading in the book that traffic alerts was not available on north american cars. But coe to think of it, a small TA was lit up, I think upper right area of radio display?

Well - the plot thickens. This morning, I went out to the garage to put my stuff in the car before grabbing the kids, opened the door, and as I am dropping my stuff, it beeps. So it does this even when the car is off and no key in the ignition.
Sounds like you got a stuck button. LOL
Is the beep the same as the button push beep?
Try disconnecting battery for 5 minutes and see if noise is gone. If still beeps with battery disconnected then you really got issues....

I did not hear the beep at all yesterday while I was driving, which was about 8 hours worth total. I think it must be related to the Jaguar phone in there. It is not active and I wonder about that.
LOL....another tidbit of info that would have been handy.
Turn off the phone. They beep when on because a: no signal, b: they do not seem to charge well any more. You can disconnect the connector behind rear vents and get the harness from nicestuffonline.com that plugs right in and change it to bluetooth.
