Default Wheel Question!

Hello all, got a question about wheels for my xjr.
im looking to buy a set of 18x8.5/18x9.5 30/35et.
Buying a set 5x120 bmw wheels, and found a shop that can machine them to 74.1 to fit my car.

Does this sound right?

If your car is X308, you could use BMW wheels but with quite a bit of modifications:

1. The centre bore has to be machined to 73.8 mm (not 74.1 as you mentioned)
2. The Jag PCD is 5 x 120.65 so you will also have to have the bolt holes and their tapers machined to this PCD (from BMW's 5 x 120.00).

See the attached write-up by somebody who has adapted BMW wheels.

Are the offsets correct?

I saw a set of Conventry wheels with a 20et offset?

The factory offset is 33 mm so the BMW wheels you mentioned (30 mm front) will be fine but will be sitting 10 mm out compared to stock 8 in. wide rims. As for the rears, 35 mm is also ok but at 9.5 in. the tyres will be sitting 3/4 in. out compared to stock so check for clearance to the wheel arches.
