2004 XJ8 106,000 mi
I'm replacing the water pump, coolant bridge, thermostat, hoses,belt & tensioner
Is now the time to R&R the radiator or could I get another 50k mi out of it.
What do you guys do/recommend ?
Also, I'd like to get a slightly cooler thermostat will that cause a problem.
It now has a 88f (190°) I'd like to get a 180°

That said: I would replace after you hit a dear! They are pretty bullet proof; easy to clean out, and clean refill.

 

if it turns rotten brown and looks crunchy it’s time to replace
