The part Jaguar sells is

JAGUAR XJ SERIES X308 LEFT HAND FRONT HARNESS LINK LEAD LNF3125AA

If you just need the connector, it will have to be a salvage part.

Thank you, yup I just need the connector will get it from salvage parts . Any idea why the connector melted? All fuses are fine and relay working fine I'm thinking the fan itself may need replacement

Most likely the fan motor but, if at one time it was unplugged and not quite plugged back in all the way until it clicked, could’ve been a loose, dirty connection to have gotten hot.

Jaguar sells the fan as an ASSEMBLY.(cowl and fans)
I replaced dozens at the dealer but saved the individual fans when one failed.

I always checked the 'power-draw' and wrote the AMP required on the fan itself.
Most were in the 25 AMP category but some required 30 or more.

You can replace an individual fan but please note the power draw.

High AMP-DRAW will melt a connector!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad we couldn’t get some brushless fan motors into the factory shroud but, that’s wishful thinking. It would just need a whole new housing.

It's possible but needs fabricating new fan mounts

Somebody surely did well fitting them in the factory housing. I think the CFM output of those fans are just about halved though.
I wonder if jag had specs on the factory fans CFM wise…

Factory fans are very good at least for the xj8 I don't know for xjr but thankfully I don't see more than 210f AC on in hot day , however spal cooling fans is upgrade definitely higher CFM but not worth it for xj8 since it's NA and not high performance car . maybe good upgrade for the xjr adding 170f thermostat and external larger transmission cooler that helpful to keep it cool

Fan connector to Opel etc I'd say that will fit. But I certainly do not trust the cabling. Not even close as thick as it should. But can not be sure untill in hand.

I get that the Spal fans are an upgrade. The comment about the CFM halved was in reference to that there’s 3 fan cages for each of those fans and airflow is blocked. If I do go for a brushless fan setup, I may end up having to get a custom fan shroud made. I did an electric fan conversion on my wife’s 90’ 300ZX a few years ago and it’s still working great.

These are some fans I’m considering. USA made.
