Where is the rear parking sensor/assist "beeper/sounder" installed inside the X308 cabin?

Figure 19.1 of the Electrical Guide states that the 'Parking Aid Sounder' is located 'Parcel Shelf'.

The sound comes from the passenger-side corner of the rear parcel shelf (I've sleuthed this previously), so presumably if Bob is correct it is under the parcel shelf on the passenger-side of the vehicle. To access that, open the trunk, pull back the fabric liner from the trunk-interior under the rear-window, it would be somewhere in the 2-3" gap above the fuel-tank below the parcel shelf.

 

Driver's side or Passenger's side descriptions on an international forum is almost useless on British Cars. Some components do not change location whether RHD or LHD.

Won't work. the speaker/sounder is on top of the metal parcel shelf, not underneath it.
To get to it you have to remove the rear seat, seat belts and parcel shelf trim

 

That's a lot of work to access a tiny piezo speaker, lol.

As for rhd/lhd variants, it would likely be on the US-style-passenger-side in all cars as the ones equipped with premium sound put the subwoofer on the other side of the parcel shelf.
