Not hard, just wedged in. BUT afaik you can't refit it w/o taking the glass out...

Hi,

You can just lever it out. Take care that you don't bend it during removal. Otherwise this will lead to misfits during re-installation.
For windshield renewal the workshop manual recommends to fit the finisher before installation of the windshield. But you can re-fit it almost problem-free with the windshield in place with some patience, time and WD40/lube (if necessary).
Did that a couple of weeks ago with the front windshield's finisher using some plastic levers.
Will do the rear finishers in a couple of days.

By the way: Trim removal tools
Use kind of these plastic tools and you'll save the trim AND the rubber (and the windshield) from any damage and scratches.

As others have said they come out and go in with the screen in-situe - washing up liquid and plastic trim tools make it relatively simple. I found a thin round pointed trim tool perfect for chasing the seal forward of the trim to slide in. The rear seal is no longer available from Jag. Be careful and slow.
