Windshield wipers quit working
I change wiper blades and then the wiper wouldn't work at all. The squirts would push water onto the windshield, but the wiper would not move. I have checked number 22 fuse, number seven fuse, number five fuse, all are good. I am not sure how to check the two black relays that are behind the radiator. But I have cleaned them. I thought the new blades, Mitchellen, may be too heavy for the motor. So I put the old blade, Bosch, back on. Still no motion. Then the washers quit operating. Leads me to believe that it is the switch, and not the motor.

Hi there! Had the same issue recently. Well, stopped working at traffic light while raining... Made it home and swapped the black relays (one is for on/off, the other for the high speed). Bingo - wipers worked again but not the high speed. Conclusion was then easy that one relay was shot. Found one online for ~ $15 to replace the shot one. Give that a try first. Both relays shot same time would be odd, and happening while changing wipers would only be a coincidence I guess. Do you hear any relay "clicking" while engaging the wipers? If so, it would possibly be an issue at the wiper motor level (again, just a wild guess by deduction). Keep us posted.

Once again this great forum came through. Blue_X J8 had it right; swapped the relays: wipers work except in the high-speed. Buy a couple of new relays at 15 bucks, should be done. Thanks, once again.
