We arevery close but not ready.... In dyno we wondered why it does not rev well and mixtures goes always very rich - even we tuned map many times. Bingo, the charge coolers are chocked and do not pass air well. They ere dirty and washed when we did lthe latest maintenance. Looks like there was huge breathing before installed proper sized pipes and catch can. The rec oil we used before ha been burnt to the charge cooler cells so badly that it's almost impossible to get them 100% clean. We are no in process to improve charge cooling. A lot of different type of coolers coming in these days and decide the final route after some investigations. Custom made expected in all cases.

The engine allows tiny revs and looks like two wheel spinning from zero speed, 40mph or 60-70mph speed. Even the gas pedal is just partly down

Yes, from 5.0 R. The cores are so much bigger and design so much beter as well as huge inlet ports than 4.0/4.2 ones. It's not plug and play solution. Needs careful 3D scanning to make needed adapters. They can not be too high to get hood closed.

Great work!

They are better designed, and will provide a better flow for sure!

I wasn't brave enough to start it (though I have the intercoolers and checked it all), it was for me just to much fabrication work to me to make it worthwhile. In addition with the XKR there just wasn't enough hood clearance, although you could solve it with lowering the engine a bit,

Good luck, and if you make 3D designs, I may be interested !

Port size difference is massive.. 3.2s needs big holes for all the heavy wind

Findings that explain most of the problems of recent years . The passenger side cat is largely melted at the rear ( the middle image ) . The Driver side cat partly damaged at the front and maybe inside the core. Both cores moved within cones.

Stock 4.0 exhaust manifolds have been too small for bigger exhaust ports. The worst ones - 20-30% of the exhaust gases hit barrier meaning huge turbulence... An the final one: Exgaust pipe diameters have been totally too small ones and especially without X-pipe. All thse things will be solved by next week.

On blower cars, especially with upped boost, I like having no felines.

It can go well as well, mine lasted around 250.000 KM, only changed them as passing the yearly emission tests became more difficult. Never thought they would last so long to be honest.

My cats and catcacks were from EAPJ and installed January 2012. I was thinking that catalyst cores inside the cones are made by another manufacturer than Magnaflow - but when those were finally removed earlier this week and cones cuttes the cores are same Magnaflow crap ones than some others have reported here. The position just after the manifolds would require high tem cats. I think that after several overheat sessions ( a couple head gasket issue, engine blow and too rich AFR conditions ) have destroyed them. I believe they weew still fine in 2013 when dynod 2013, but not after fnew engine 2016. I think they have just gone worse and wrose even great annual emissions tests. Anyway new bigger, higher tempted cats have new position under the car and they can be removed quickly if needed. Mine is AJ26 ( EU2 emission class ) , so no downstream lambdas needed ) . Anyway - hope to get all these resolved and back to right tunings later next week.
