Default X308 : The pound for pound king of nooks & crannies

Of all the cars I've encountered these cars are the most prone to lose something to never be seen again lol. Just dropped a very important USB drive between the driver's seat & the center console, looking like I may have to remove the seat lol.

To add insult to injury as I'm hunched over digging, it begins to pour rain lol.

Better to look under the seat from the passenger footwell, remove the carpet and it'll be behind the seat runner, generally really unlucky if it drops into the carpet round the handbrake!

+1 to start from the rear seats.
Otherwise, removing the bolts on the seat rails is just 2 minutes work, after which you can flip the seat backwards to get access to wherever that USB went.
Good time to vacuum there too .

Lol talking about having a mini-rant in the drive-way.

Edit :
I got as low & deep as I possibly could from the passenger side to no avail. I'll attempt from the back once more if that doesn't prove fruitful the seat must go ! Irony is, the USB is my back up of a long gone folder.

I can already hear that usb crunching in the seat track while you move it forward to access the bolts.

Do you have the seat all the way vertical to get your paw in there and have a better visual? Be sure to check between the E brake arm and the trans well.

When the rain breaks I'll just remove the seat bolts like Eric suggested, I'm sure it's due for a thorough cleaning under there anyways.

I've found quite a bit of money in my X308s over the years, the best was my first one. I took the centre console apart to fit the Motorola Bluetooth kit and found in there a few receipts, ticket stubs and a £20 note. Looking at the receipts there was an ATM one for £20 withdrawal, so I can only assume it was withdrawn and immediately lost. There's a gap between the latch for the arm rest and the deck of the centre console, like a letter box.
I've also various ticket stubs and receipts under to boot carpets and down the back seats.

First time I detailed this car I found a folded up $20 bill underneath the driver's seat as well.

Beats what I found in the recently acquired Maserati lol. I had the back seat removed & the audio guy walked up to me & placed a small baggie of what looked to be cocaine in my hand & said "found this running the sub wire?!" I was like "You can keep that as a tip!" lol. For like 3 weeks I was unknowingly riding around w/a felony, go figure lol.

The funny thing now is, I'll bet there's a few members tearing out their back seats. See what you started KC, with an assist from Stu....lol

Well USB retrieved , no seat removal necessary I manipulated the seat into various contortions w/ the patience of a pious monk & the tongue of a pirate, I managed to get a finger on it & usher it to the front opening of the seat. This drive = one small business saved from a certain IRS audit !

Winning !

The engine bay has a lot of room to lose tools in! But having so much room in there means you can put a takeaway under there and keep it warm on the drive home!!! LOL
