Hey all,

Planning to change the light grey headliner out for either dark grey/black. Thinking alcantara too. Has anyone done a color change? Also, I don't think they did, but did Jaguar ever offer a dark headliner/trim pieces? I'd likely have to paint all the grey plastic bits black.

 

I don't think they did either, not sure but I think even the XJ8/XJRs with a black interior still had the gray roof lining and accent pieces.

 

Yeah my car has a black interior and a light grey headliner/trim pieces

 

When I showed our car to my wife her only comment was “It’s very black!” And that was with the grey headliner which I will retain.
What would you do with the sun visors?

 

I'm thinking about making everything either dark grey fabric or alcantara. I think Black would be too dark

 

I want to change my headliner to alcantara. I've sat in cars that have an all black interior and I liked it. But, may see what shades of color I like before deciding. My 100 could use the steering wheel to be redone. No clue how to go about that.

 

I've done 3 of my jags in black, 2 xj's 1 xk8. I would not do it again because the sunroof is a real pain. the grey side trim was resprayed with black flexable spray can. visors same as headliner material folded inward on edges and hand stiched
