XJR 2001 Overheating - What to check
My XJR is back on the road!
As per one of my previous posts, the mechanic discovered the fan mount on the fan assembly had broken causing the fan to fall against the assembly and burn itself out. The rest of the cooling system was tested and is okay [pressure test etc].
I replaced the fan assembly (inc. fans) with a used part for AU$ 300 and, after an additional $600 in labour/bits, my XJR is now back to it's usual self.
[I kept the remaining working fan as a spare for "next time"].
Thanks to all who contributed advice!
Regards,
Troy.
