Default XJR Battery Issue

Hi everyone,
New here, and I hope you all are keeping safe and sane.

After 4 months idle in the garage due to the endless Aussie lockdowns, my 1999 XJR battery has died. But it's also locked.
If I open the car with the key, will the alarm go off? Or will the alarm disable if I open with the key and get it to Ignition position 2 within the 15 secs.

Thanks in advance!
Chris

Alarm will go on when battery is drained and you open any door or trunk or bonnet to give it juice. It will disarm rightaway if you push keyfob unlock button or as you described via turning key in to position 2.
