I am back to trying to finish this project it is a XJr 1998 that i re motored .. runs and starts good but will not come out of restricted performance. This one car set for 10 years and I replace the fuel tank I have the correct fuel pressure it actually idles nice but will wind up. I started on this earlier this summer .. then I got sidetracked and I’m trying to finish this car open to any suggestions when I took the motor out of the other car it seem to be running OK I have checked all the connections single day thanks for the help
Did you plug in IAT sensor #2 on the backside of the intercooler? It’s on bank 1 (or passenger side). I know you said you checked all the connections but, maybe you need to ohm check the temp sensor itself.
My first guess would be some sort of vacuum leak with the fuel tank/system. Jaguar evaporative emissions systems
test for a leak in the fuel tank and associated hoses. The computer pulls a vacuum and checks to see if the vacuum
holds. Since you recently replaced the tank, odds are the problem resides with some connection to the fuel tank.
I checked the air intake sensor! It seemed ok,something different now! I was getting 2 - p1112codes with a p1000 between them .Now down to just P1000 and p1112...do sensors fail much on the inter cooler?
One other strange thing about this xjr is a delay to start when key is turned.1second ?
