XJR engine into XJ8 - Possible?
Hi all, i recently aquired a 2000 XJ8 with a bad engine. From looking on ebay and elsewhere, it appears the XJR engine is not much more expensive. I would also swap transmissions. Is this possible? If so, what would i need for the swap?

Engine and transmission control modules (ECM and TCM), wiring harnesses, air/ water intercooler and plumbing, nothing too serious. Anything is possible.
Fugeddabout it, unless you have access to the complete donor car.

I have listed the items required that come to mind. I have never done this conversion, but would not consider it impossible...particularly if I had the complete donor car.
That reminds me..add secondary fuel pump (in-tank) to the list.
I asked where you were in case you wanted to buy a good used factory rebuilt engine, or a good used engine, or sell me the car. I don't have XJR pieces available.
