xjr heater hose leak can anyone help pls
hi everyone i have a slight leak it seems to be the heater hose however the hose is dry but where there is a black plastic connector/adaptor it seems to be wet and dripping out of there
i am trying to attach a picture sorry you may have to zoom in to read what i labelled i apologise i have forgotten how to post a picture on here properly
is there anyway of getting the adaptor/connector on its own or do i have to buy the whole hose etc
thanks again

Theres a oring seal in ther. And ive heard of people cutting it off and refitting. But really! Fix it correctly with a new heater hose matrix. Its a pia but if thats leaking the hose splitting open will be soon behind and that wont be a leaker but a gusher. Leave the reservoir cap loose to not build pressure and make it worse till you get to it.

If you are going to be working down in that area... Strongly recommend looking at the Transmission Electrical connector mounted on bracket top of Tranny bell. This is a lot easier to get to + clean corrosion/contact cleaner out of it when Intake + other stuff out of the way. (this was the root problem of my intermittent gearbox faults)

exactly it seems to be the connector its leaking out from, the rest of the hose seems dry thanks i will have a look for that thread at £70+ just for the hose and then 3 hours labour or so i would ideally like a repair but thinking after 12 years i think that rubber hose maybe a bit weak too its also a shame they dont sell that connector on its own...think its best i just put a new one least that hose will be ok for the next 12 years i hope
