My leathers are pretty bad on my 98 XJR. Will new skins for an XJ8 fit properly on the XJR seats (front and rear)? I know the center parts where the "sectionals" are are shaped differently. But is that the only difference? What about the rear? Is it the same shape, like where the "buckets" are and middle seat hump? I just dont want the skins to be "loose" seeming due to improper fitment.

 

In this pic there is a 98 XJR seat and an 02 VDP seat. I never tried to switch the skins but judging by the leather work and underlying foam shape i would say that the VDP leathers would not fit the XJR foam correctly but that is just my opinion. The VDP seat is more of a sofa than an XJR bucket. An XJ8 does have a different shape than both of these but from what i can see the rounder contours of an xj8 seat especially around the shoulder areas seems like you would still have a problem fit wise. All speculation once again sorry. It does look like the covers from 04-07 xj8 would be close to the shape of an x308 xjr though
