Gus, i like that info you have there. I do remember back in 1996, BMW had us changing the thermostat and reprogramming the engine to account for a higher operating temperature. this was to help save the engines that hadn't gone bad. Germany blamed the use of higher sulpher fuel in the US than Germany. I have even flooded my AJ16 from just moving it out of the driveway.
