is the car a 6 cylinder or 12 cylinder?
if 6 cylinder, you have a XJ-40,so you need to post your question in the XJ-40 Forum.

also it is called VANDEN PLAS.

Welcome. I believe the fuel pump is on the driver's side just in front of the rear wheel. I suggest that you purchase the service manuals on a cd which is available of $12 on ebay.
