Default 94 xj6 side marker tail light blinker problems

Hello to all. First post for me. I have read as much as I can here about lighting issues to no avail. My left front turn signal doesn't work or left front side marker. My right front side marker and right front running light out.The left rear tail light and left rear side marker out.I've cleaned as many grounds as could find. My headlights and fog lights and brake and hazards and both front and rear right turn signals work and left rear turn signal work. Any help or direction to thread I may have missed is greatly appreciated. I did replace the DBC10009 relay hoping it might of been the problem. Thanks again.

I don't know if you've cleaned the bulb sockets and bulb bases but often rusty sockets can stop the bulbs from lighting up.

Have you checked to see if you get 12v on the harness plugs just aft of the lights?

Thanks for help Lawrence but still no good. I checked the sockets of the bulbs and couple looked a little green cleaned them out with small wire brush and spayed with contact cleaner. Then unplugged to check for voltage at harness. test light still didn't light. Made sure had a good ground on test light by checking light that was good.I hope you or someone else out there has a another suggestion. Thanks again for your help.I can't believe how helpful the people on this forum are.

Oh well, too bad the easy fix didn't do it. Just got to start tracing back till you find 12v ... do you have the wiring diagram? There's one in Haynes. If you don't have Haynes you can download it in .pdf form here:

good luck!

Hi jimbo94,

It seems highly unlikely that more than one BFM would fail simultaneously, so I suspect you still have a problem either upstream of the BFMs or with corrosion on one or more ground points used by the lighting.

If you will send me your email address via private message, I'll email you the '93-'94 Electrical Guide, which may help you find circuit points that are common to all the malfunctioning lights.

Cheers,

Don
