Bad pump??
I pulled the fuel filter and turned the key. No gas was pumped. I then switched the gears and still no gas. I thought I heard the pump priming but I guess not.
I have learned from the search on this forum that if you switch into drive with the key on the pump will kick on. Is this true? Will it kick on with just the turn of the key?
I also heard I can jump the fuel relay by jumping a wire but not sure how.
New to the site so Hello. Thank you

Hello, I think you crank your engine and it starts hardly .
Turn the key to II and back to 0 , repeat this a few times within 8 secs . It worked nicely when I had an 88 XJ40 .

Tried the key thing. Still no fuel. I tried several different relays. No change.
I used a meter on the wires to the pump and get no voltage. I do get power on the big brown wire at the relay.
Any suggestions?

This may sound silly, but it is very difficult to check the voltage at the pump while turning the key by yourself. It's a split second when you put the key in the II position. You may need a helper, plus if it's a 94 the pump is in the tank in the trunk.
