biggest rim possible?
I think I saw a Jag with 20" rims but it looked extremely ugly .I think your best best should be 18" .You can also put 17" stock XJR rims but they look no good for me too
18" is you best bet. I never put any on mine, but for a while I researched heaven and hell on rims for mine. I play with photoshop often, and with that I photoshoped on my car different style and size rims to scale. from 15" to 22". In my opinion, and strictly style, 18's look the best.
i love the XJR wheels but they cost WAY to much. i found http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?i...el=Z12+Mazottiand think they would look good. 18x8.5 is the size.

I personally think 20's are overkill but they would fit. 17's or 18's are perfect sizes for Jags. They stand out just enough to draw attention and turn heads without being overly obnoxious. Check out my '93 XJ6 if you want to see a better idea of what theyd look like. I have 17's on mine and may upgrade to 18's next summer!

A nice set of wheels that fits the Jags can possibly be found on BMW, the 5,6,7 series share the boltpattern and works perfect.

I'm looking to upgrade my 17" Lamina rims to 18" but what's the best tire size for 18's on a 97 VDP? The tires I bought for the 17's ended up being a little too big (some rub on tight turns) and I don't want to make the mistake again.
I've got a '97 VDP also. What size tire rubbed with your 17" rims? And where did you get the 17" rims from? I don't mind the "extra rubber look" of even the stock 16" tires--I'd just a like a little more contemporary-looking wheel to mount them on.
