Default Bolt question

I've seemed to have misplaced the 4 bolts that hold the transmission mount plate to the underside of the Jag, does anyone happen to know what thread they are and how long they need to be? 1989 XJ40 3.6l (4.0 being swapped in)

Cheers, David

Well I found the 2 shorter ones, and I had a couple of bolts for the longer side that worked. Should anyone run into this, they are M83 1.5 thread

Sorry none of us could help, David. Glad you figured it out. I assume you meant the screws are M8 1.5 and not M83? About how long are they?

Cheers,

Don

M8 are usually 1.25mm (common)

M10 are usually 1.5mm (common)

The finer threads (M8 X 1.00 and M10 X 1.25) are sometimes found on these cars.

Yes sorry they were M8 x1.25, sometimes my sausage fingers miss a button.
Not sure on the length but I will measure them. The bolts were in my stash and they actually came from a 1988 Isuzu Trooper, they were the bolts that held the door hinges to the A pillar. I have more that I can measure.
