Exclamation Bulb failure

Sure I know this subjet has been posted many times. My vehicle has this problem in the dashboard, and I have checked all lights in the car.

I read this in another forum, do you think this will work? I want to be sure before cutting wires:

Looking at the wiring schematics it shows that all four modules
have a pink/gray wire (among all the other wires) coming out that
eventually join together to provide a single wire input into
the warning system (which I can only guess means the VCM).
Could it really be that easy to just find that single pink/gray
wire going into the VCM and disconnect it to kill the signal?

Thanks a lot

Hola, Irgabor,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.

Have you checked the license plate/registration plate lights, the reverse lamps, and the sidemarker lamps? These are all connected to bulb fail logic circuits but are easy to forget.

As far as cutting the wire to disable the warning, I strongly advise against it. Over the years I have had to diagnose many of the unexpected consequences of previous owners' "modifications," and it can be very difficult and frustrating trying to figure out why a system isn't working, only to eventually discover that a previous owner couldn't be bothered to fix a problem the right way.

Please keep us informed.

Cheers,

Don
