Just got a new to me 89 grey Sovereign and the climate control panel is black. I removed it and took out the five bayonet bulbs inside but I can't find anyone that stocks it. I went to the local Jag dealer and I am told that it is a sealed unit and they have no part numbers to order the bulbs from. I have searched the forums and didn't see anything. Has anyone else had this issue. Here is a link to the Jaguar parts manual. I have the air conditioner (lower) controller.

The Parts Catalogue lists two different designs of A/C Control Panel. The early pattern appears to be a sealed unit with no individual components listed:



The later pattern has replacement bulbs listed:

I have the earlier model. Jag tells me that the bulbs are different on the second one as they are from a different supplier. He showed me the new bulbs and they don't fit.

 

Try a Chevrolet Dealer to get a cross on the bulbs. These were the Chevy influence autos that they forgo to buy, eventually with Ford taking over. The A/C and smog controls were US adaptions.
