Default EAC7905 failure

I've recently replaced the failed EAC7905 EGR solenoid in my 90 Majestic. Using my Fluke multi meter I checked the old and new solenoids. The failed solenoid checked out at 151 ohms, with the new replacement checking out at 40 ohms.

Default Rain shield rubbing inside of brake rotor.

I finished replacement of front brakes (pads and rotors) and wheel bearings in my '90 Majestic over the weekend. The left front rain shield is rubbing the inside of the brake rotor during right turns. In all of the brake jobs I've done, in all of the years I've done them I"ve never had this problem. I'll be checking this out in the AM. Any ideas?

Not sure what you mean by the "rain shield" - have you bent or distorted something?

The heat / dust shield? I dont even think they are really needed, you could probably just remove it

Yes, the sheet metal cover to the rear of the hub. I just removed the bearings and so forth as usual. I'll be "playing' with it this afternoon. I am considering some careful realignment with my BFH. The entire situation is puzzling. I never had a problem with it, never hit anything, no corrosion, just removed the old parts, installed the new without any trouble. Now, on right turns the rotor rubs on the shield. This PM I will snug up the bearing nut a bit and...?

I get that problem... sometimes. Its usually a matter of reaching around the installed wheel and pushing inward on the dust shield. Its just tin and will bend very easily. It is also easy to bend when moving other heavy parts around during repairs....

I am happy, but it's difficult to not feel stupid when I do stupid. BTW, a full front end rebuild is on my schedule.
