1993 XJ40 has a forward and aft lens on both driver and passenger in the over head by the "B" pillars. At first I thought it my be a speaker. If it is a light how do you turn it on? How do you change the bulb? What bulb would it be?
Thanks ProQuest

Praised it out of it's socket and it has DBC 5952/AEE Intrusion Sensor. They are in fact screens vice lenses. I have never triggered the security system to see what , afraid that I may not be able to reset it.
Sorry for the delay in responding to your thread. Busy days.
Here's the parts listing and diagram from parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com, a great place to research parts. The part numbers differ according to color and whether or not the car has a sunroof.
Thanks Don. I have been afraid to turn on the security system for fear of getting locked out. I have a fob, but sure the batteries are dead and needs to be programmed. Can't seem to find much on the way or how the security system works. Any ideas where I can look?
Thanks again, Dean (Proquest)

Hi Dean,
I have messed with almost every aspect of an XJ40 but I've never had to mess with the security system, so I am mostly ignorant about it. However, if you have the owner's manual for your car, it will contain some functionality info on the system.
