Installing door seal
Hi got new rubber doors seals (made in thailand $65 each)the old ones easy to pull out but the new ones....well quite tricky to put in if nigh on impossible for me. Does anyone know any tricks to getting these in or any good tools?? Mick 91 kingfisher blue xj40 melbourne aust.
p.s. interesting the seal installation is exactly the same as my 73 xj6 series one jag liked to stick with the old ways.

Good luck with yours!
Larry
Hi Mick,
We're all jealous of how easily Larry installed his new door seals with just thumb pressure!
Below is a link to photos of how I did the job. I didn't find the rear seals any more difficult than the fronts, but a fellow member of the Jag-Lovers XJ40 forum had a terrible time, and finally realized that the rear seals he received were significantly fatter than the fronts, with a larger bead that just didn't want to fit into the channel.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers,
Don
