Has anybody had any experience with buying/putting on a sports exhaust onto their xj40? Due to a cracked catalytic converter, my mechanic removed it and it sounds absolutely awful!!!. Could anyone lead me in the right direction with what are the different options? Thanks!

I'm sure there are other options, but one company known for exhaust and other performance enhancements for the XJ40 is AJ6 Engineering in the U.K.:

I haven't done this on our '93, but several of the owners on the Jag-Lovers forum have used the AJ6 Silencer Substitute Pipes to replace the middle silencers in the standard exhaust, for slightly less restriction and a slightly sportier exhaust note. Here's a representative post:
