Default Jaguar XJ6 Won't Start

Hi all, new here so bear with me.. Got in our 1994 Jaguar XJ6 (red carpets and badges etc) ready to go out.. It started fine, then started fluffing and cut out.
It would not re-start!

The security system has always been off..
We have checked the fuses many times and the battery & connectors we are trickle charging the battery but still nothing?

We have already read this thread

We have bypassed the fuel relay running wires from fuel pump module straight to the battery and the fuel pump is working. The car is turning over and firing, but still not starting.

The fuel pump is operating but is there fuel pressure at the fuel rail?????
I have seen plastic pump modules that have blown out sealing components and the fuel just leaks back into the tank and not out the line to the fuel filter.

Just because the pump motor is making noise does not ensure fuel delivery.

We got round a mate of ours who is an MOT tester and he said one of the plugs has a weak spark therefore not starting it.. Also the distributor isn't making good contact with the leads. New plugs and a dist and on there way
