The MY88 car I am working on is missing the piece of carpet that goes on the flat part of the floor of the trunk. This is basically a nearly rectangular piece of carpet that is bound around the edges. Also the piece or carpet that is bound to a board and sits vertically behind the gas tank is water damaged.

Does anyone have any of these pieces from a parts car?
I think the pieces would be that same for all model years of cars that do not have the battery in the trunk. I.E. MY88 through MY92 since I think the battery was moved to the trunk for the MY93 and MY94 cars.

Here is a close up photo of the carpet color and nap pattern I am looking for.

 

I know originality and stuffs but this greyish crap is the ugliest carpet ever, why not take this as an opportunity to upgrade it to something nicer? Was one of the first things I've done on my Jags in the past. That grey is more depressing than the soviet union.

 

Because the carpets along the sides of the trunk are formed carpets that fit into place without any glue because there are service components behind them so it is not possible to just glue new unformed carpets in place.

 

Pretty sure mine isn't grey, mines more brownish and I think matches my interior carpeting, maybe that's a VDP thing?
