Default Need a part number...

On the top of my upper radiator support bracket (1994 XJ40) are two foam bushings which I believe act as bumpers. Each is in various stages of self destruction.

A part number would be helpful or if anyone has replaced these using an alternate method, then that would also be something I would consider. I usually try to use OEM parts, but that is not always possible.

Thank you in advance,

Stu

Hi Stu, our late 40's take the same bushing as the X300, part#MNA4241AB ..rock auto has them (URO brand) for about a buck fifty each, I replaced mine with some of those, better than OEM btw

cheers

Stu,

Also note that there are two bushings on the bottom of the radiator that are the same part number as the uppers, and it's likely that if your uppers are shot, your lowers are too. With the top radiator mount panel removed to replace the upper bushings, you may be able to carefully lift the radiator enough to fit the lower bushings without disconnecting any of the hoses or cooler pipes (but I'm not absolutely certain of that - I replaced my bushings when I replaced my radiator).

Cheers,

Don

Thanks guys. I actually had that part number written down, but wasn't sure. I will definitely order four replacement bushings.

I hadn't noticed the state they were in until yesterday (Australia Day) when we went on a Jaguar Club run. One of our members asked me to pop the bonnet on Ms Kitty and that's when I noticed that the bushings were crumbling.

After shopping around, I ordered four from Amazon. $US6.44 for the four bushings and $US17 for shipping to OZ.
