Can't find exploded view of my '92 XJ6 Steering column. Trim pieces are off, mid way nuts removed, bottom bolts loosened near u-joint at bottom of shaft. Looks like a square metal housing Right behind wheel should come off after removing 4 - bolts with 8mm heads. That housing has several wiring connectors attached. Looks like it should move out of the way (leaving wiring attached) so I can slide out entire column. What am I missing?
Also, how to R&R ignition switch and or housing; is in two pieces clamped around column. Looks like two threaded passageways from underneath, but no bolt heads on top??
