Removing wire wheels 89 XJ6
New owner of an 89 XJ6.
Went to take off the wheels and found the lug wrentch in the trunk is to fat to fit through the spokes (correct term?) to reach the lug nuts.
Any advice?
Do I remove the spokes? If so what's the proper tool?
Any other advice that I may need would be helpful.
I'm glad I found this out BEFORE I was on the side of the road with a flat!

The wire wheels were never installed as standard equipment. You have to buy a smaller lug wrench for the nuts that hold your wheels on. The size is probably 11/16", and the wrench for the factory lugnuts is 7/8".
