Default starter removal

I don't know if anyone has posted on this issue or not. I wanted to know what the easiest way to remove the starter on a 91 xj6 would be. I have done it on my series III but this is a much tighter fit, any tips, or special tools needed?

One royal pita. On my 90 i removed the intake manifold.so as to get some working room. Then i used a 12 corner box end wrench which i bent to get the bolt from the backside of the bell housing (not a lot of room to work with). The other bolts come out easily. If and when i do it again i also would make the wrench longer for more leverage. I think this way is easier than having to do it as the hanes manual suggests. Also dont forget to disconect the ground from your battery.
