Default STARTING TROUBLES

I have a 92 xj6 that has a weird starting problem. When its been sitting for a while (more than one day), and I start it, its fires up fine. When i shut it off and say, go in a store, get in and start it, it almost NEVER fires on the first try. It doesn't matter if i prime the pump 3 or 4 times or not. What can it be? My idle stil is staying around 800 - 1000 in neutral. No idiot light or anything else is on. Anyone know where i can get a park switch for my wipers?

ok, sorry Im 1 that viewed but didnt reply, so try this. #1 issue for youre description is fuel pressure bleeding off after you shut off the car from a bad check valve in the fuel pump module, not the pump but a 1 way valve in the big white plastic module the pump sits in. To check, you need to hook up a fuel pressure gauge, start the car then shut off, it should hold pressure in the rail. If not replace the fuel pump module and pump assembly. I dont its avail without the pump. And on the wiper park switch, either a junk(er recycle yard) or call Ken @ Motorcars800-338-5238

This always happens to my duster when the plugs are going bad.. I would try replacing them first, and if that doesn't work I would obtain a fuel pressure gauge and make sure that its where it should be.. but without seeing the car myself its hard to say, it could be anything from a fuel pump or the engine could be flooded theres just no telling.. but as I stated, I encounter an almost identical problem with my duster and fouled plugs is the usual solution..

Geeze, I bash the forum and have people fighting to reply! LOL thats funny. Anyways, plugs are new, but like i said, if it sits overnight, it fires right up. If a valve or regulator was bad, wouldn't it do it more the longer it sat? And one other thing, where the hell do you check the fuel pressure at? Do you have to splice into the line? THANK YOU ALL FOR REPLYING!

My bud has one with a barbed T fitting. Guess i'll cut the line, splice into it, when i'm done i'll use a straight thru barbed fitting and some fuel injection clamps.
