Default trunk central lock motor - bühler

hi
i am not sure if i have missed if someone else have posted the problem with the trunk central lock motor on xj40. it is a common problem, at least here in sweden, that they stop working. the company that made the motor, bühler, is still alive, but as they made everything in electrical motors from modell train to big motors, it is not possible to search to find this motor on internet. i have take a picture and maybe it can be a number on the motor, but as you can see, if so, it is not possible to see it. is there anyone here that know if it is possible to find some kind of motor new, that can fit?

best wishes

unicorn

Hi unicorn,

I don't know if this may help, but a member of the Jag-Lovers forum was able to resuscitate the small motor in a door lock actuator by cleaning and lubricating its internal components. It might be worth a try on your motor:

hi don b.
thanx for that suggestion. it seems that the coal is worn. maybe it can be possible to buy new ones, but they are very small.
