Default Where to go from here(Brakes)

Well got my pump assy mounted today(thank you Jason) and I did not have time to bleed them or test them much because it got dark. However I did drive it down my driveway.

There are no dashboard lights on now except when I press the brake the pump comes on and the brake light and/or ABS light comes on (seems dependent on how hard I press the brakes). I was thinking it was just a bleeding issue and then I started reading around. Seems the culprit may be a bad accumulator.
I am not going to draw any conclusions yet because I have not properly bled the brakes and the pedal is a bit mushy. I am just afraid that this is how it fried in the first place, accumulator failed and the pump ran 24/7 causing it to burnout. Now I am afraid I just spent 350 bucks on a broken assy

I think you hit the nail on the head with the accumulator ball. The ball loses pressure and causes the pump to run too long trying to build pressure. The brushes melt typically.
