I have a 1989 XJ40. The other night we had a bit of a downpour ( in Vancouver...go figure!) and I was caught with my windows down. I closed the power windows but the rear passenger window automatically opened again and I could only close it by using my key in the drivers door lock. Upon starting the car the window once again opened by itself. From what I've read, the window control switch cluster probably got wet and I need to dry it out.Could someone tell me if the control switch cluster is behind the door panel, or located elsewhere? If anyone knows I would appreciate the info.

 

Ok...sorry......i think I had a brain phart...( which seems to happen on a more frequent basis the older I get...lol) ..and of the answer is yes....how else would it get wet....if not through the open window .........nevermind

 

Glad you got that one figured out, I was going to say it is in the trunk behind the spare wheel!!!

LOL....ok....if I can't locate it inside the door panel....that's the next place I'll look but you've reminded me of another question I have....but I'll start another thread for that
