Default xj40 cylinder sleeves

I have 2 1990 xj40 motors. One has a bad block, the other has a bad cylinder sleeve. What i would like to find out if its possible to take a sleeve from the bad block and then install it in the good block. I know i will have to heat the block (what temp). Looking into the water passages you can see the steel sleeve so there is not a lot of material (aluminum) holding the sleeve in.Thanks for any assistance.

Take the engine to a machine shop and have a cylinder sleeve installed. The odds of removing a steel sleeve intack is NEAR ZERO. I had an AJ27 nikasil 4.0 V8 resleeved with steel liners for $40.00 or $50.00 per sleeve. Bring the piston so it can be matched to the bore!!
