Default xj40 vs xj81

Ok whats the difference between an xj40 and an xj81.....and for that matter an xj6?

To start with XJ40 is the overall model designation for the series.

XJ81 was the model designation of the V12 version sold from 1993-1994. In Oz the Jaguar version was called the XJ12 and the Daimler one a Double Six.

XJ6 was the six cylinder version and generally the base model designation. The Sovereign was the top level spec for a Jaguar badged XJ40 in Oz.
