Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.
The schematic for the Driver's Door Switch Panel is in the Electrical Guide, which you can download here:
Jaguar XJ40 Electrical Guide 1990
From a quick glance, there are a couple of relays and some diodes (no values or part numbers given).
Have you tested the window motor to confirm that it operates when powered and that the electrical connectors at the motor and switch are corrosion-free and secure?
If the motor runs and operates the window and you confirm the issue is inside the switch panel, you may be able to determine the problem with some careful dissection, or a good salvaged unit from eBay may solve the problem.
In the meantime, please visit the New Member Area - Intro A Must and post a required introduction so we can learn something about you and your Jaguar and give you a proper welcome.
Cheers,
Don

Ensure windows motor is activating the lift mechansism
The motor was working but the lift mechanism was bloked because of rust inside. The rust accumulated inside (small fragments mixed with grease) and blocked the dental wheel.
Open and clean the said mechanism and refill with some grease and refit the whole.
You need to draw the window glass to gain access to the lift mechanism; be carefull not to explode the glass (it happens to me whe repositioning it!)
Have fun!
