Default 1982 Jaguar XJ6 Back Glass Seal/Gasket

We are restoring a 1982 Jaguar XJ6 and we are in the final stages of the restoration. The only thing that we seem to be lacking is the back glass gasket/seal so that we can remove the back glass, finish up the headliner, and install it again with the new rubber. Does anyone know where I can find this rubber seat for the back glass of this XJ? Thanks for all your help and references guys.

If memory serves it's the same as the front windshield. I imagine any of 'the usual jag suppliers' have it or can get it. SNG Barratt, Coventry West, Pauls Jaguar, Welsh Jaguar, XKs Unlimited, Terry's Jaguar, etc

Cheers

if you are removing the back glass just for the headliner, it is not neccesary, the headliner pad will come out through the front passenger door and will go back in the same way. Takes patience and two people.

The rear screen is a glued-in type, what looks like a seal is just decoration. I can confirm that it is possible to take the headlining out via a back door, but you need to remove all seats, front and rear. Of course it's easier via the rear windshield aperture, that's why Jaguar assembled it that way !

I had URO gaskets for both the front and back window install and found them to be too large and bulky compared to the originals, I'm in the same boat. They are not good seals and leave the window too far out from the body of the car. I wish Jaguar made the originals like they used to. It is a difficult situation when it comes to seals.
